Our Philomusica youth orchestra plays to a high standard, performing a variety of orchestral repertoire. Performances take place at prestigious venues across Hertfordshire and beyond.
We offer trials with our our ensembles. Just come a long to our reception desk before the ensemble you are interested in and we will introduce you.
We meet at St Albans Music School (based at Townsend School) weekly during term time. Once a month, we have sectional rehearsals, splitting into Wind and Strings and working with specialist instrumental tutors on technique. Our leaders are experienced, professional orchestral musicians, able to give high-level tuition to players.
