Our mission is to enable all young people in Hertfordshire to discover or develop their own unique musical voice and express themselves through the language of music.

As a DfE funded organisation through Arts Council England, Hertfordshire Music Service is perfectly placed to support the educational, social and emotional outcomes of your pupils.

The music service is here to support your school in the way you need, and there are some inspiring ways HMS can ensure music remains alive and well in your local school community.

HMS will support your school and pupils

  • HMS hourly teaching rate remains frozen again at £42 per hour
  • Fully subsidised access to Sing UP and Charanga
  • Bespoke musical activities and support for identified vulnerable pupils
  • Increased HMS digital music subsidy
  • New fully funded First Access deal
  • Music Mark school membership
  • Generous financial support package for pupils
  • Free training and CPD for school staff at all key stages

The brochure details all costs and describes how HMS can work in partnership with your school as part of the Hertfordshire Music Education Hub during the academic year 2021-22.
