Hertfordshire Music Service is very pleased to announce that the Hertfordshire Schools’ Gala will take place on Sunday 23 March 2025 at the Royal Albert Hall!
Save the date for our special 30th anniversary celebration of this flagship event featuring music making from Hertfordshire Music Service and surrounding schools.

How to get involved...
Massed choirs will be supported by the Hertfordshire Schools' Symphony Orchestra and Hertfordshire County Youth Choirs, conducted by Rufus Frowde.
Primary, Middle, and Special Schools
Applications for primary, middle, and special schools are now open! To apply, please complete the following application form: Hertfordshire Schools' Gala 2025 - Application for Primary, Middle, and Special Schools.
The deadline to apply is Wednesday 23 October 2024.
- The event is most suited to those in Years 5 and 6 and a maximum of 20 students are invited to participate from each school. If you have more students wishing to take part, please state this on your application form and we will contact you if spaces become available.
- Successful schools will sing in one performance with a rehearsal at the Royal Albert Hall on the day of the concert and a half day rehearsal in Hertfordshire on 5 or 6 March.
- Priority will be given to schools that have not participated in a Gala before or did not perform in the 2023 Gala as we are often oversubscribed.
Secondary Schools
Applications for secondary massed choir, instrumental, and dance groups are now closed.
Songwriter, Rapper, and Digital Music Producer Competitions
