#HMSOriginals is a live music performance video series by Hertfordshire Music Service to give young people a chance to showcase their talents on YouTube.
Series Two
Young musicians and singers from Hertfordshire were invited to perform classical pieces and their own songs, which explored the unique acoustic qualities of the historic heritage site, Royston Cave.
The series was organised in agreement with Historic England and is part of Hertfordshire Music Service’s commitment to improving lives through high-quality musical experiences and enabling young people, no matter their background or circumstance, to discover their unique musical voice.

Series One
The first series was filmed in a unique and historic location in Hertford, within the heart of the Council Chamber in County Hall.
Young people from Hertfordshire were invited to audition and the winners were supported by Hertfordshire Music Service to prepare their songs in rehearsals, with arrangements produced for a live accompaniment by a String Quintet, formed of the principal players of the Hertfordshire Schools’ Symphony Orchestra.
