An enjoyable grounding in string playing (either violin or cello) using rhythm and pitch games as well as covering all the basics for beginners. Loan of an instrument is included in price of group.

For players who have progressed beyond grade 3 standard.
- Chamber String Orchestra - 9.40am - 10.40am
By invitation or teacher recommendation only. String players of grade 6+ standard.
We cover a mix of traditional orchestral string repertoire and string chamber music along with more contemporary pieces.
- Chamber String Quartet - 10.50am - 11.30am
By invitation or teacher recommendation only. String players of grade 6+ standard.
Build on the skills learnt in Chamber Strings Orchestra in a smaller chamber setting.
- String Ensemble - Saturdays @ 9.15am - 9.55am
A chance for string players of a standard of grade 1-5 to play in a small group, learning the basic craft of ensemble playing, tailored to the requirements of individual players. Leading into more experienced groups within the county.
- Stringbabies - 9.45am - 10.15am
A fun and engaging entry group for 3 to 5 year olds, into world of ensemble playing.
Through fun games and activities , students will learn the basics of playing a string instrument.
- Moving up Strings (junior strings) - 10.20am - 11.05
For open string players to those working towards grade 3 or equivalent.
- Stride up Strings (senior strings) - 11.15am - 12.15pm
For players who have progressed beyond grade 3 standard.
