- North Herts and Stevenage Youth Orchestra - Monday evenings @ North Herts Music School, Hitchin 5.30pm - 7pm
A full symphony orchestra for senior players from across the North Herts and Stevenage region. Wind and brass players should be working at least towards grade 5 and string players, grade 4+. Orchestral percussionists are also welcome. The orchestra play at the Priory Picnic each year and enjoy exploring a mix of traditional and contemporary repertoire, student compositions very welcome!
- North Herts and Stevenage Youth Jazz - Tuesday evenings @ North Herts Music School, Hitchin 5.30pm - 7pm
The senior area jazz ensemble is for players of grade 4 and above, all instruments welcome for senior players from across the North Herts and Stevenage region. It provides an opportunity for students to expand their jazz theory and performance skills in a welcoming environment. The group performs annually at the Priory Picnic locally (other regional performance opportunities throughout the year).
- North Herts and Stevenage Senior Wind Band @ Stevenage Music Centre - Wednesday evenings 6pm - 7.30pm
For woodwind, brass and percussion players at grades 5–6 and upwards. To provide students up to A level standard the opportunity to experience and achieve a high standard of performance. Also includes work towards GCSE / A level ensembles.
