Age Range: 11 – 21 years

County Youth Brass meets for a 4-day course in the Summer holidays, and for two day courses in the Autumn and Spring terms, each offering the exciting opportunity to explore the diverse and challenging world of Brass Band repertoire.

On courses, the conductor is supported by experienced sectional coaches and the band work intensively towards their concert. The Band has toured Scotland, France, Holland, Belgium, Austria, Canada and Switzerland and has also recorded a number of times in its history.

CYB has also featured soloists, most recently Mike Lovatt, as well as offering opportunities to members of the band to perform solo items in both workshops with the band and in concerts.
