Top tips

Logging in

Go to www.singup.org/login.

Your Sing Up Username is the email address you provided on registration, and the password can be anything memorable to you (at least 8 characters made up of upper and lower case letters, numbers and special characters).

If you’ve forgotten your password, you can request a reset password link anytime by clicking the Forgot your password? link under the password box.

Please note, if you don’t receive the email to your inbox, check your junk/spam folders.

Invite your colleagues

It’s best to have all of the teachers at your school signed up to Sing Up to make the most of your membership and to get the whole school singing and making music – including your admin/finance team.

If they are not registered with Sing Up, they should head to the membership checker within www.singup.org/membership. Once they have created their Sing Up user account, they will be able to select your school or organisation from a list. This will send an email notification to the Sing Up admin, asking them to approve their application to join. As soon as their request is approved, they will have full access to the membership.

Please note, whenever users first register, they’ll get an email to verify their email address. They should check junk/spam folders if this doesn’t come into their inbox.

My account

Your account area is the hub of your personal account as well as the membership account you might be attached to. From here you can access:

  • membership details, such as your membership status, type and expiry date. You can also manage the address, phase of education and pupils on roll of the organisation owning the membership. If at any time you need to change to another membership account or leave the current membership account, you can do this here
  • organisation members, where, if you are an admin, you can manage the colleagues with access to the membership, invite new colleagues, or accept/decline any applications to join the school or organisation membership
  • students and groups, if you have students and groups manager rights, you can add, remove, or edit your organisation’s student and group records here
  • profile setting and login details. These two sections enable you to manage your personal account, including your email address, password, name, and profile image. You can also update your email subscription here, as well as your interest, which customises your My Sing Up dashboard and communications content.

Furthermore, within your account area you can find your way to the Your Order History tab, as well as choose to log out.

Membership administrators

When purchasing a school membership, the person placing the order will automatically be nominated as the membership administrator. Membership admin privileges can also be assigned to any colleague by anyone already a membership admin.

In addition to having access to the standard membership benefits, such as streaming, downloading songs, or managing activities, colleagues with membership admin rights are the main contact when it comes to important membership information, such as expiry notifications. Furthermore, membership administrators are able to:

  • add, approve, and remove colleagues from a membership organisation
  • assign or revoke the various admin privileges of colleagues
  • view and edit all activities created for the membership organisation by any colleague, even if they are not the editor of an activity. This is particularly helpful, when a new activity editor needs to be assigned or changes made to an activity, should a colleague not be able to lead the activity any longer or has left the membership organisation

Students and groups managers: in addition to having access to the standard membership benefits, such as streaming, downloading songs, or managing activities, colleagues with students and groups manager rights are furthermore able to:

  • add, edit, and remove student records as well as groups
  • view and edit all activities created for the membership organisation by any colleague, even if they are not the editor of an activity. This is particularly helpful, when a new activity editor needs to be assigned or changes made to an activity, should a colleague not be able to lead the activity any longer or has left the membership organisation

Student access

Provide your students access to Sing Up resources anywhere they are.

Set them tasks and activities, give them access to songs and resources and check they’ve completed the activity by the due date, all aiming to help your students develop their independent musical learning.

  • Set up your student logins and groups – in your membership account area. Remember to publish the group once you’re ready to use it.
  • Create and assign activities or tasks – in My Library / Group Activities
  • Publish your activities and follow your students' progress.
