Alison Pinder Funeral

Alison's funeral was held on Thursday 15 March at Dagnall Street Baptist Church and was well attended by Herts Music Service colleagues as well as friends and family and, unsurprisingly, the church was packed to the rafters.  The service was a moving and fitting tribute to Alison.

Reminder: Music Mark School Membership available to Hertfordshire Schools

In our role as Lead Partner for the Hertfordshire Music Education Hub we are able to support and recommend our schools for Music Mark Membership. By partipcating in our self-evaluation process which is available in the schools area of the web-site we will organise memebership for you. This means we are able to talk to you about your current music provision and your plans for the future. Membership gives you a certificate, a logo for your web-site/stationary plus access to resources and events provided by Music Mark - The UK Association for Music Education.

10,000th Music Medal!

Hertfordshire Music Service was one of the pioneering services in the introduction of Music Medals around 12 years ago.  Since then thousands of pupils have completed and received music medals.

The teacher and pupil for the ten-thousandth medal were announced at the CPD Conference on Monday 4 September.  Teacher and pupil received a certificate and the lucky pupil received a voucher to spend on music!
