Friends of Hertfordshire County Music Groups
The Friends Association exists to support all of the County Youth Music Groups by way of substantial financial contributions towards the purchase of instruments, sponsorship of brochures, recordings, tours and support at concerts.
Anyone can become a member of the Friends for a small subscription. Indeed, we urge all parents to ensure that they join the Friends in order to support the young musicians who deserve the very best musical opportunities that we can provide.
Membership costs just £10 per year and you receive a £2 discount on the first 2 tickets purchased for every concert you attend – so it soon pays for itself. Other special discounts apply from time to time as well.
The Friends of the County Youth Music Groups have recently provided substantial support towards the Hertfordshire Wind Sinfonia's tour to Paris August 2010, the County Youth Choir's tour to Holland April 2011 and for a Percussion workshop led by international percussion ensemble All Bluff & Porterage at The Clarendon Muse, Watford School of Music on Sunday 5th December 2010.
