Hertfordshire County Recorder Ensemble & Forum
Director: Annabel Sanders-Hewett
Required standard: Grade 7 (Ensemble), Grade 4 (Forum)
Age range: 13 - 18 years
The County Recorder Ensemble & Forum meet for a 3-day course in the summer holidays and for one Repertoire Day each term. The County Recorder Ensemble provides high-profile opportunities for advanced players, with the Forum providing opportunities for younger and less experienced players to build up their skills in a fun environment. The Ensemble & Forum explore repertoire from the 15th Century to the present day and the size of the Ensemble can vary depending on the repertoire chosen. The Ensemble has won acclaim at both national and local level performing both in the county and at high-profile venues such as the Royal Academy of Music. The Ensemble & Forum have also collaborated with high-profile groups, such as the renown recorder ensemble 'The Flautadors'.
