Hertfordshire Music Service - Christmas Corals at Princess Alexandra Hospital
On Saturday 17th December, around 40 pupils, parents and teachers went to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow to play Christmas Carols. We spent the morning going round the wards playing and singing for patients and staff and trying to spread a little happiness at a time of year when it's especially tough being in hospital. Everyone seemed to really enjoy the morning, and we had some lovely comments from patients, staff and visitors. The commitment shown by everyone was amazing-it was the first free Saturday since October (and the last Saturday before Christmas) and yet everyone gave their time and energy so generously. The NHS trust have already invited us back next year and have sent lovely letters and emails thanking everyone for their hard work and professional attitude.
Letter of thanks - click here
Just a short note to say thank you once again for your group’s involvement on Saturday. We had excellent feedback from patients, visitors and staff and it was a very successful event.
On a personal note, I wanted to add that I found the group to be professional and well mannered throughout the morning and a real credit to the overall organisation – I do hope you can convey both our thanks and this feedback to the group.
Best wishes to you all for Christmas,
